The health and well-being of all of our guests and volunteers is of utmost importance to us at the Georgian Bay Festival. To ensure that we keep everyone safe at this event, we have these operational protocols in place in accordance with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and the Government of Ontario guidelines. Guests that do not abide by these guidelines will be asked to leave. When you purchase your ticket at the gate, you agree to NOT enter the festival if:

  • You are ill or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (could include fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat)
  • You have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus or has symptoms of COVID-19
  • You or someone in your group have travelled internationally in the last 14 days
While you are at the festival, you must follow Public health guidelines and ensure:
  • You use the hand sanitization stations located throughout the festival and at all high touch spaces
  • Ensure social distance measures are in place and remain 2 m apart
  • Face masks will be required when social distancing measures cannot be maintained
  • Follow any directional signage to help move traffic through the festival with ease
  • Rules will be posted at each activity, please read and obey the rules.   Staff or volunteers will ask you to come off the activity if rules are not being followed
  • Some activities may have to limit the number of participants at any given time, please ensure that you respect this rule and wait your turn
  • Please place any personal protective equipment in garbage pails provided  (cleaning wipes, gloves etc)
  • Ask a festival volunteer if you have any questions
We want to keep everyone safe and healthy at this event and we will continue to closely monitor government announcements and will adjust our guidelines as required. Together, we can keep each other safe and enjoy a fun outdoor Festival. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
